We are happy to announce that for the 2023-2024 academic year we were able to accommodate a cohort of 68 new high school students in our Shanghai Sunrise sponsorship program. In addition, 35 new university students will continue to receive our scholarship enabling them to pursue their future degree. None of this would be possible without your kindness and support! We are sincerely grateful for your generosity!

After conducting individual home visits over the last couple of weeks, we have been working on pairing our new students with their future sponsors. Please find a short profile of your Shanghai Sunrise student Xi Cifan attached.
2023 Shanghai Sunrise Pairing Ceremony
To meet your sponsored student(s) and start building the personal relationship that is so unique to our program, we would like to kindly ask you to Save the Date for our 2023 Shanghai Sunrise Pairing Ceremony. This year’s event is generously hosted by the Ritz Carlton Pudong and will take place on Sunday, 26 November 2023 between 11am and 1pm.
Held every year since 1996, our Pairing Ceremony is a fun and meaningful way for students and sponsors to meet each other for the first time. The event includes a light snack, a series of interactive student-sponsor games and individual, as well as group photo opportunities. It is the start of a three-year, or in some cases a seven-year relationship between student and sponsor.
A formal event invitation will follow shortly!
